I think it’s about the documentation of a person’s obsession with music. Like me, Gerry likes punk and rock n’ stuff yet he happily trawls through all the detritus for the love of it.

This chart goes back decades. I even remember when The Andrews Sisters were number one.

I hope I remembered to wash my hands, there’s poo all over the chair you see.

SH I think, and this is just my take on it. I think the “Gerry” guy hears songs in his head about his life at that particular moment for the week. Then he rates them from last to first depending on song. That is my take on it. Actually this was the first time I actually looked at the whole list. I usually take a quick glance then quickly move on.
